ABOUT US
Aver Angela Wada Memorial Foundation (AMEFOND) was incorporated on the 25th of June 2010 with the Corporate Affairs Commission in Nigeria as a Non Governmental Organisation. We seek to bring succour to many deprived children in Benue State in particular and Nigeria at large. Our aim is to bring qualitative education to the doorsteps of children who are denied this opportunity through circumstances beyond their control.
It is estimated that well over 47% of Nigerians are without education and children constitute the largest number. Our first project was the sponsoring of deprived children to various levels of education. Prior to the establishment of our Early Learning Centre at Mbaduku, we sponsored 21 children to primary school. Our Nursery and Primary School approved by the Benue State Government has a total of sixty children. The foundation’s pioneering student graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Geology at Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria. Currently, we are sponsoring three undergraduate students in various universities in the country.
